The GPRH Resident Committee is responsible for upholding and promoting the rights of the elderly at GPRH. This is particularly important in the case of elderly residents who are too frail, sick or reluctant to assert their own rights.
The Committee members are required to work for the best interests of the residents, including assisting residents with reporting complaints or grievances, and ensuring that they are resolved. The Committee must further advocate for high-quality nursing care for elderly residents at GPRH, as well as a high standard of service delivery in terms of housekeeping, catering and laundry services rendered to the residents.
The Committee is responsible for reporting any form of abuse, neglect or exploitation of our elderly at GPRH, and to promote social and therapeutic activities to enhance the quality of life of GPRH residents. Finally, Committee members are required to identify any risks within GPRH, on the premises, flats or cottages to ensure that our facility is safe, accessible and comfortable.
